Contract Type: 12-month contract (hybrid)
As a Scientific Expert (LIMS) you will work in a small group of senior LIMS specialists. In this non-routine position, you’ll design and build new tools to improve the efficiency of LIMS master data maintenance and create various reports for different stakeholders using Microsoft PowerBI.
You will support projects that shape the future of QC testing activities from the arrival of raw materials to the release of our innovative medicines. You will collaborate with LIMS colleagues in Europe and Australia and interact with stakeholders from Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Production, Engineering and Business Technology.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Support the design and develop tools and reports using Python and SQL
- Query, analyze and visualize data and develop future data concepts
- Develop PowerBI reports
- Act as a primary point of contact for QC Excellence LIMS internal tools and reporting improvement
- Represent QC Excellence LIMS in local and global laboratory automation projects
- Maintain working knowledge of regulations and guidelines as related to laboratory instrumentation and computerized systems (i.e., USP, 21CFR Part 11, Annex 11 regulations) to ensure compliance with guidelines and industry best practice
Requirements:
- University degree in a relevant scientific discipline (Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Information Technology, Mathematics, etc.)
- 3+ years’ experience as a data scientist or similar role handling data (querying, exploring, cleaning, visualizing)
- Advanced SQL and Python, R or JavaScript knowledge
- Strong written & verbal communication
- Strong analytical/problem solving and organizational skills
- Able to work independently and as a team member across multiple time zones in a high-performance environment.
- Advantageous in descending order:
- Profound LIMS database experience
- Knowledge of sampling and laboratory processes and willingness to extend
know-how on the field - Experience in a pharmaceutical/medicinal GMP environment
