A fantastic opportunity has been created for a leading global Biopharma. My client is developing a first in class pipeline in oncology, and I am partnered with them to identify an executive leader in Clinical Development with experience in oncology and advanced therapeutics to join their team, and to steer the strategic direction of early and late phase programs within their Oncology portfolio. You will join an organization at the forefront of solid tumor and immuno-oncology research, known for their commitment to increased their R&D investments year on year.

As Head of Oncology, you will:

• Oversee the strategic and medical direction of a diverse and leading oncology portfolio
• Line manage a significant team of agile, accomplished MDs and Clinical Leaders, to support the development of cutting edge therapies in oncology whilst ensuring the empowerment and continuous development of the team.
• Provide transversal and matrix leadership to a wider team of colleagues who are contributing to these programmes
• Influence cross functional strategies and work closely with translational, medical affairs and medico-marketing teams
• Represent your area in Collaborations, Steering Committees  and Regulatory agencies and collaborating with a wide range of senior stakeholders internally and externally

You will bring to the role:

• MD (Medical Doctor) with a Board Certification in Oncology or Internal Medicines
• Proven experience in late and ideally also early phase Clinical Drug Development for Oncology within industry,having successfully driven drugs to registration
• Inclusive and collaborative personality, with an uplifting leadership style to support the development of your team
