Account Manager – Medical Media

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a belief that strong communication is at the heart of better healthcare. This organisation would allow you to be part of a digital media and publishing company working with Key Opinion Leaders and Specialists in the Cardiovascular therapy area.

This role requires someone who can work collaboratively as part of a successful team, whilst maximising revenues across their own client base and Identifying new opportunities to increase growth

You will have the ability to achieve and exceed sales and growth targets, manage existing and new client relationships, develop account strategies with a strong proven track record of being successful in B2B sales within Medical Media and Publications


Main Responsibilities:

  • Achieve sales/growth targets, delivering exceptional outcomes aligned to both business and customer needed and maximising revenue opportunities across all available media platforms
  • Proactively develop and manage both existing and new client relationships, maximising repeat revenue and ensuring overall client satisfaction
  • Develop account strategies, identifying new growth areas for both their own accounts and the business in general
  • Use a multi-channel approach to accurately identify and develop relationships with key choice makers within qualified companies to uncover and nurture potential new avenues.
  • Regularly reporting to provide the Sales Director with regular updates on sales-focused activities including new avenue generation, competitor intelligence, forecast adjustments, obstacles and needs
  • Ensure our full range of products are being effectively presented
  • Work with key accounts and ensure the maximizing of profit and identification and maximizing of any new business in the space
  • Maximise the use of key client face-to-face presentations where relevant
  • Develop presentation materials, as and where appropriate
  • Effectively manage client contacts via the CRM and develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline
  • Have integral input in product and business development, marketing and sales materials and communications
  • Liaise with project management and marketing teams, as well as senior management regarding project briefing and delivery
  • The role includes extensive international travel for international congress attendance and meetings with key clients at their offices
  • Develop a rich understanding of the market with a good understanding of the competitor landscape
  • Leverage the existing, highly successful business franchise and assets, and focus clearly on the needs of the global and regional clients
  • Uphold our standards regarding compliance and ensure we are operating appropriately within regulations



  • Highly motivated goal and target driven individual
  • Experience working in the pharmaceutical sector is a plus
  • Comfortable prospecting – can be creative to identify and contact a target audience of prospective clients
  • Extensive track record of success in B2B sales within the medical education/communication sector
  • Knowledge of reporting and how to interpret and present data to effectively track and monitor key account performance
  • Is adept at writing succinct and impactful/successful proposals and presenting to clients
  • A strategic thinker who can create strong account strategies
  • Good understanding and grasp of the RME product portfolio
  • Tech-savvy and can use or quickly learn the suite of technology/processes/platforms Including CRM, PowerBI, JIRA, LinkedIn etc
  • Strong IT skills – can hit the ground running using Office 365, MS Teams, Word, PowerPoint and Excel to an intermediate level
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of all compliance requirements and regulation
